What this site is
GunDealAlerts tracks the prices of firearms, ammunition, optics and accessories as they are actually posted — publicly, by real buyers and retailers — and keeps the record. It is not a retailer and sells nothing. The whole product is the price history and the alerts built on top of it.
Why it exists
Firearm prices are unusually hard to check. The major shopping-comparison services exclude the category, manufacturer MSRPs bear little relationship to street prices, and the real transaction prices are scattered across thousands of retailer pages and forum posts that disappear within days. So the ordinary question — is this a good price? — has no ordinary way to be answered. GunDealAlerts answers it by keeping every price it has ever seen, with the date it saw it.
Who runs it
GunDealAlerts is independently operated and not affiliated with any manufacturer, retailer or distributor. It carries no sponsored placements: no retailer can pay to appear in a deal feed, an alert, or a buyer’s guide. Where an outbound link earns a commission, the price shown is still the tracked price and is never adjusted to favour a link.
How to check us
Every price figure published on this site names the date it was tracked and the number of postings behind it, and every product page lists the individual deals the figures were computed from. If a number here looks wrong, the underlying deals are on the page — the record is the argument.
