The GunDealAlerts price dataset
GunDealAlerts is an independent firearm price tracker — 12,504 verified deal prices across 1,919 products from 891 retailers since 2024.
The dataset
The GunDealAlerts price record is a continuously updated set of observed transaction prices for firearms, ammunition, optics and accessories. Each row carries the observed price, the date of observation, the retailer domain, and the product family it was matched to. Collection began in 2024 and continues daily.
Coverage
Coverage is deepest where r/gundeals is most active: AR-15 components, handguns, red dots and rifle optics, suppressors, and common ammunition calibers. It is thinnest for low-volume, high-price and regionally restricted items. Products with too few observations to describe do not get a statistics page at all, which is why the product count below is smaller than the number of products that have ever appeared in a deal.
Limits worth knowing
- These are posted deal prices, not a census of retail prices. They skew low by construction: a deal is posted because it is good.
- An observation is a moment, not a period. Stock at that price may have lasted minutes.
- Prices exclude tax, shipping and transfer fees unless a posting stated otherwise.
Using it
Individual product pages show every tracked deal behind their figures and are free to read. If you are citing a figure, cite it with its date — the date is part of the fact.
